There is a whack load of great hiking
in Banff National Park
It has more then 4000 km of back country trails to every area of the park.
Meanwhile there are over 100 day hikes of all varieties and levels
watch out for mosquitoes (DO NOT FORGET SPRAY), getting lost, biting off more then you can chew…(we have BIG hills) and avoid bears by making lots of noise….
….avoid low bushes especially junipers in spring early summer… Boo Ticks!
Be prepared for all types of weather
Check with information before you go anywhere off the main heavy use trails
And always check with parks information for back country conditions
Have fun! Be Safe!
and be armed with knowledge, judgement while you gain experience.
